What is Canyoning?
Canyoning is an outdoor activity that involves navigating through canyons using various techniques such as jumping, sliding, swimming, hiking, climbing, and sometimes abseiling.
It’s a one-of-a-kind opportunity to explore the breathtaking natural landscapes of Salzburg in a thrilling and exhilarating way.
Who is it for?
Canyoning is the perfect adventure for you, whether you’re with friends, family, or your significant other!
If you can swim and have basic fitness levels, you’re ready to go. This is a guided tour, and all professional equipment is provided.
Kids must be 10+ and accompanied by a suitable caretaker over 18 years old.

How much does it cost?
The Canyoning tour in Almbachklamm is available for only €69 per person, and the duration is approximately 2 hours. All the necessary equipment is provided, including
- a neoprene wetsuit
- socks
- helmet
- harness
What do I need to bring?
- Bring a pair of trainers or hiking shoes with a grippy sole and ankle support (they will get wet). If you don’t have suitable shoes, please let me know and I can provide a pair for you.
- Bring a second pair of shoes for later
- swimwear
- a towel
- and any necessary medication.
Where do we meet?
We meet directly at the Almbachklamm Canyon. The meeting point is the closest car park to the canyon at Wiestalstausee, near Hallein, approximately 30 minutes from Salzburg City.
Please reserve your tour in advance as there are no on-site booking facilities. I will provide a navigation link via email for easy reference.
Please Note:
You will need to have your own transportation. However, if you’re a group of up to 4 people, we can make arrangements to meet you at the Hallein train station and give you a ride to the canyon.
