What is Canyoning exactly?

Canyoning is an exhilarating outdoor adventure that involves hiking, swimming through water, sliding and jumping off waterfalls (or into them), or repelling down.

Is Canyoning safe?

At Almbachklamm we believe that having the right equipment and being accompanied by a qualified guide are what you need to enjoy canyoning safely. As with any outdoor activity, there are risks involved in canyoning. But if you follow our guide’s instructions at all times, you should be fine!

Who can participate?

If you have basic fitness levels and no medical condition preventing you from participating in this activity, then you’re good to go! If you’re not sure whether you qualify, just give me a call and we’ll chat +43 677 613 667 33.

Kids over 10 can participate in the tour if they are accompanied by a suitable caretaker who is over 18 years old. If your child is 9 years old and you would like to determine whether they meet the height requirements for our canyoning tour, please contact me directly.

How much does it cost?

Our Canyoning tour in Almbachklamm costs 69€ per Person.

You will be provided with all necessary equipment and guided throughout the 2 hour long tour in the Canyon. 

Equipment provided:
– Neopren Wetsuit (XS to XXL)
– Neopren Socks
– Helmet
– Harness

You can borrow shoes if needed.

What do I need to bring?

Bring swim wear and a towel. And any essential medicine you may need (for instance an inhaler).

Bring a second par of shoes as yours might get wet. I recommend trainers or hiking shoes with a grippy sole and preferably ankle support. If you don’t have shoes, please let me know and I’ll make sure you can borrow a pair from me. 

Where do we meet?

We will meet directly at the canyon. Please make sure to reserve your tour first. There is no offices or booking possibilties on site.

The meeeting point is marked on the map. It’s the closest car park to the canyon Almbachklamm. You don’t have to remember this now. I will send you the navigation link prior to our tour via Email.
